Advocating for Lasting Stability in Our Community

Dear Friends,

At Interfaith Works, our commitment goes beyond direct services to include advocating for the policies and systems that determine whether families can remain safely and stably housed in our community.

Through our work with state and local leaders, we focus on practical, prevention-centered solutions to housing instability. Meetings and hearings are part of the process, but what matters most are the outcomes: stronger protections for renters, expanded access to stable housing, and policies that prevent homelessness.

We continue advocating to reduce barriers for renters who rely on housing subsidies and other supports. These changes reflect what we see every day – families doing everything they can yet are still being pushed toward crisis by the rising cost of basic needs and limited housing options.

In addition to advocating as an organization, we are proud to work alongside a coalition of nonprofit partners to align our advocacy and strengthen our collective voice. Together, we are sending a clear message to policymakers: our community needs coordinated, urgent action to protect its most vulnerable neighbors.

Need in our community is growing, and the systems designed to respond are increasingly strained. If organizations like ours feel this strain, our neighbors in the most fragile situations feel it even more. This reality drives our commitment to sustained, collaborative action.

Our work also continues at the county level, where we will testify about the FY27 Budget.  Our testimony will underscore the need for stronger homelessness prevention and housing stabilization resources. Programs like our Connections initiative show what is possible when timely support is available, helping families resolve crises before they escalate into eviction or shelter entry.

No single organization can rise to this challenge alone. Sustained progress only happens when legislators, service providers, and community members work together toward shared solutions that reflect the experiences of our neighbors.

None of this work is possible without you.

Your support allows us to respond to immediate needs while also advocating alongside our nonprofit partners for long-term solutions that strengthen our entire community. Together, we are working toward a future where fewer families face housing crises, and more are able to remain safely housed.

Thank you for standing with us.

With Gratitude,

Courtney Hall, CEO
