POSTPONED: 2nd Annual Harmony of Hearts Benefit Concert
Interfaith Works has made the decision to reschedule Harmony of Hearts to spring 2027.
Harmony of Hearts is an opportunity to bring our community together through music, connection, and a shared commitment to supporting our neighbors. Moving the event to the spring will allow us to build an even stronger experience and create additional opportunities for our community, partners, supporters, and friends to participate.
We are grateful to everyone who has already registered, supported, or helped us plan this special evening. Your enthusiasm means a great deal to us, and we look forward to celebrating with you in the spring.
A new date and additional details will be announced soon.

Colores Opening Celebration
Join us on Tuesday, September 15, at the BlackRock Center for the Arts, for the opening of “Colores,” a vibrant art exhibit celebrating the creativity, culture, and diverse voices of Latino artists. Taking place on the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month, this special evening will bring together artists, community leaders, and art enthusiasts to celebrate Latino culture through art.
We are so proud that four graduates of the Interfaith Works Stitches That Transform seamstress program were selected to have their artwork featured at the exhibit!
Meet the artists and discover how they express their unique perspectives, experiences, and stories through their work. Enjoy delicious appetizers, connect with fellow members of our community, and help us kick off Hispanic Heritage Month with an inspiring celebration of Latino art and creativity.

Freedom of Religion: An Interfaith Discussion
Interfaith Works is proud to be cohosting this event and discussion alongside the Washington DC Temple Visitors’ Center. IW’s Director of Faith and Community Partnerships, Rev. Roslyn Roberts will be participating on the panel. Please join us for this wonderful and impactful discussion.

Montgomery Housing Alliance: Candidate Forum
Our partners at the Montgomery Housing Alliance are hosting an upcoming Candidate Forum to bring candidates, voters, and entities with a vested interest in affordable housing together to discuss the issues shaping Montgomery County’s present and future.
Interfaith Works is a part of the Montgomery Housing Alliance (MHA), a coalition of affordable housing providers and advocates across Montgomery County.
We hope you consider joining us in attending this event which gives voters the opportunity to hear directly from candidates and engage on the priorities that are most important.
WHF Foundation 2025 Golf Tournament
Please consider joining us at The Women in Housing and Finance is holding the WHF Foundation’s 2025 Golf Tournament on September 15th at Westfields Golf Club. This annual fundraiser helps raise awareness for our organization and activities.

Pride in the Plaza
Join us in Downtown Silver Spring to close out Pride Month with a full day of celebration, education, and festivities! You can see live performances, discover queer-owned businesses, and learn about local resources for the LGBTQ+ community such as mental health support, STI screenings, and social programs.
