Support Our Neighbors in Crisis

At IW, we help our neighbors find stability in the face of difficult challenges. As the cost of living continues to climb, our neighbors are juggling harsh choices – pay the rent, buy food, or get caught up on overdue utility bills.

A key tool is IW Connections. This program links families and individuals with low incomes to essential resources. This includes direct financial assistance to help prevent utility cutoffs, and rental assistance to help prevent evictions and homelessness.

Over the past nine months, we have been able to provide 415 families with emergency financial assistance – that is the good news. But since this program doesn’t receive government funding and instead relies on generous philanthropic donations, we run out of money when the need keeps climbing. In fact, between September-December, we had to turn away 300 families because we had exhausted available funds.

And demand is increasing. The funding we received in December is almost gone; between January-March, we distributed $88,000 to 198 families. We need you.

Will you help ensure that we don’t have to turn away our neighbors who come to us seeking assistance with their rent or utility payments?

With each contribution, you will help us extend our reach, providing not just immediate aid but a more stable future for our neighbors in need.

Together, we're not just changing lives; we're nurturing a community where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
