Program Support Staff – The Program Support Staff (PSS) is a part-time or full-time employee responsible for supervising the day-to-day program activities to ensure safety and compliance with program guidelines. Under the direction of the management team, the program support staff implements procedures as needed, monitors medication, completes pre-screening/intake process for referrals and communicates activities using the communication log. Additionally, the PSS is accountable for persons entering or exiting the program during their shift, including volunteers, visitors, and other service providers. Bilingual Vocational Counselor The Vocational Services Program prepares clients through job readiness classes, skills assessments, training in computer skills and financial literacy, customized job preparation and placement, and ongoing support for employment retention success. Clients work one-on-one with English- and Spanish-speaking vocational counselors to hone their skills, identify educational opportunities, develop resumes and cover letters, practice before interviews, and secure and maintain jobs. Housing Services Coordinator – The Housing Services Coordinator will be working with two Permanent Supportive Housing programs in which both individuals and families are located at scattered site housing throughout Montgomery County with the Interfaith Homes (IFH) Program and Housing Initiative Program (HIP). Under the supervision of the IFH–HIP Program Director, the Housing Services Coordinator assists the Case Managers, Medical Case Manager, and Case Aide in providing services to the program residents who have a significant history of homelessness and are very vulnerable. The Housing Services Coordinator is responsible for helping to manage leases for residents, which includes establishing and facilitating trusting relationships with the residents, landlords, property managers, and County employees to expedite the client’s use of services along the Continuum of Care. Interfaith Works professional case management staff work with families to establish attainable goals to empower families to lift themselves out of poverty.
