Ronald (Ron) Wright was born and raised in the District of Columbia and is a proud product of DC Public Schools where he graduated from McKinley Technical High School in 1977. He is also a 1981 Graduate of Morehouse College whereafter he graduated from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 1985. After his first year at Central Law, Ron was selected to the first CBCF Congressional Fellowship Class and interned on the Monopolies/Commercial law Committee. While a member of the Pennsylvania, DC, Federal and Maryland Bars, Ron served as a Staff Attorney for the DC Office of the People’s Counsel and thereafter worked as a solo-practitioner and partner in several law firms including Rosier & Wright and Wright & Guyden, where he practiced criminal and civil law. Currently, Ron is working as a general consultant with an emphasis on business development, IT and professional/legal consulting. Ron is the President/CEO of both Wright Consulting Services and Community Partnerships for Advocacy and Justice. He is also a licensed Real Estate Professional. Ron currently serves as the Parliamentarian/Board Member for The People’s Community Baptist Church Men’s Fellowship, Chair of the Criminal Justice Committee for the Coalition for Equal Representation in Government (CERG 2.0), 1st Vice President and Legislative Chair of the Greater Metropolitan Association of Realtists (GMAR), Treasurer of the Friends of Human Rights Commission (FOHRC) for Montgomery County, and is an active member of the Greater Washington Metropolitan Morehouse College Alumni Chapter where he served as President and was named Alumnus of the year in 2000. Additionally, Ron served as a board member and committee chairman for Concerned Black Men, Incorporated (CBM, Inc.) serving underprivileged DC youth. Ron is married to Lynda Scott Wright, a graduate of Spelman College and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. They have 3 adult children and 2 young grandsons.
