Challenge yourself to go further in the MOVEment to end homelessness! From October 24 through October 31, we are encouraging everyone within our community to participate in an interactive fundraising campaign that gets you and your family MOVING! Through walking, running, biking, or otherwise going the distance, you increase awareness about homelessness within Montgomery County and raise money for programs that help people lift themselves out of homelessness. Raise your heart rate while also raising money and awareness for Interfaith Works.

Most importantly, share with your loved ones what keeps you moving and going further to help Interfaith Works serve our community’s most vulnerable. You can even “Go the Extra Mile” by recruiting as many other “movers” as you can, or become a virtual fundraiser to help us meet our $5,000 fundraising goal during a year where IW’s programs and services have been stretched more than ever before. For years, Interfaith Works has coordinated with local schools to organize Help The Homeless Walks to increase awareness about the issues revolving around homelessness within our community and to raise money for services that directly benefit those experiencing homelessness. Although our local schools have transitioned to a virtual learning environment due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we believe this provides us with the opportunity to help expand our outreach and transform these Help The Homeless Walks into a weeklong event that involves the community as a whole!
