Meals for the Interfaith Works Women's Shelter

Community groups and individuals can help by cooking and/or serving dinners and lunches at our Women's Shelter.

We have a great need for groups of volunteers to prepare dinner for 35 women this summer. If you can coordinate the preparation of dinner for 35 people and deliver the meal one evening, please let us know. Your group is welcome to drop off the meal or stay and serve it to the residents.

Potential dates:

We also have openings for volunteers to bring lunches on weekends. Meals are needed for 35 to 40 residents on Saturdays and Sundays. Bag lunches would be dandy. Hot meals are always appreciated! Volunteers are invited to stay and serve from noon to 1 PM.

Contact Samantha Cheakalos, Community Engagement and Volunteer Coordinator, at if you can help in either of these ways. Samantha will be happy to talk about the details and provide information (and inspiration!) on how to prepare a meal.
