Board of Directors
Angela Harvey was recently appointed to Interfaith Work’s Board of Directors and has served on the Advocacy Committee since 2019. She participated in the Community Advocacy Institute program where she championed affordable housing. Angela worked in the non-profit sector providing resources to low-income communities and people experiencing homelessness. She served as operations manager and led strategic and program planning teams. She wrote grants, planned events, and handled communications.
Angela also spent many years working in healthcare administration where she developed a passion for advocating for equity in access to healthcare and quality of care. She has a particular interest in access to mental health and substance abuse treatment. Angela’s other areas of advocacy interests include alleviating poverty, addressing climate change, reducing food waste, and racial justice and equity.
Angela holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park. She continues her interest in media as a volunteer at Montgomery Community Media where is she works in TV programming.
