Overview

The Housing Initiative Program (HIP) is a scattered-site, permanent supportive housing program that houses over 65 clients, including 29 families. All clients and families have previously experienced homelessness in Montgomery County. The program houses clients and provides case management services to connect them to mental health, medical, food, and vocational services. Clients and families receive support from our team of case managers to empower them to maintain housing and work toward independent housing.

*If you know of someone experiencing homelessness and in need of emergency shelter, please have them contact the Montgomery County Crisis Center, which is open around the clock, at (240) 777-4000. More information about the Crisis Center is available on this county page.
