Chief Executive Officer (Interim)
As of July 1, 2020, Becky became the Interim CEO of Interfaith Works. She was the CEO of Interfaith Works from 1999 to 2010, and Executive Director of Advocates for Children and Youth in Baltimore from 2011 to 2017, when she retired. Becky previously served on the staff of US Senator Paul Sarbanes for eight years, and in 1982 she started the first shelter for homeless women in Montgomery County. She is an Elder and member of Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church. A grandmother of 6, she and her husband Bob split time between Montgomery County and Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
Rev. Dr. Rosetta Robinson
Director of Emergency Assistance Coalition
Rev. Dr. Rosetta Robinson oversees the Emergency Assistance Coalition. Rosetta has her Doctor of Ministry from Wesley Theological Seminary, Master of Divinity from Howard University (ordained November 1995), MS degree in education (community service) from Cornell University, and BS in social studies education from New York University. She has worked at Interfaith Works since October 1995.
Director of Development
Suzanne Lofhjelm came to Interfaith Works after serving as a Constituent Services and Community Outreach specialist for U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen, where she managed affordable housing, social services, public safety, and public school-related constituent matters. Suzanne’s professional experience includes public policy analysis and advocacy related to income security and workforce programs, and community engagement. Suzanne graduated from Dickinson College and earned a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Maryland.
Director of Family Services
Betsy Cheakalos oversees Interfaith Works’ Friends in Action program, Interfaith Housing Coalition, and the Interfaith Clothing Center. Betsy, who has been with Interfaith Works for over 20 years, brings a wealth of social service outreach experience to IW.
Director of Finance
Timothy Larkin, CPA, directs and manages Interfaith Works’ accounting and financial operations. Tim has worked in accounting for 35 years and in many different industries.
Director of Homeless Services
Christine Hong joined Interfaith Works in 2005 as a residential coordinator at the IW Women’s Center, and since then has taken on progressively expanding roles and responsibilities in the realm of providing services to men and women experiencing homelessness. Christine currently serves as Director of Homeless Services programs. She graduated from the University of Maryland-College Park with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in Baltimore. Christine is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and is a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical in the state of Maryland.
