Chief Executive Officer
Courtney Hall joined Interfaith Works as Chief Executive Officer in November 2020 following 17 years of service in the public and nonprofit sectors. Most recently he has been the Vice President at Housing Up in Washington DC, where he led the provision of affordable housing and supportive services to more than 700 homeless individuals and at-risk households. Prior to his Housing Up experience, Courtney served as a Child Welfare leader in DC and Alabama. He received his Bachelor of Social Work from Oakwood University in Alabama, a Master of Social Work from The University of Alabama, and holds a Nonprofit Management Executive Certificate from Georgetown University.
Rev. Dr. Rosetta Robinson
Director of Emergency Assistance Coalition
Rev. Dr. Rosetta Robinson oversees the Emergency Assistance Coalition. Rosetta has her Doctor of Ministry from Wesley Theological Seminary, Master of Divinity from Howard University (ordained November 1995), MS degree in education (community service) from Cornell University, and BS in social studies education from New York University. She has worked at Interfaith Works since October 1995.
Director of Family Services
Betsy Cheakalos oversees Interfaith Works’ Family Services Programs and the Interfaith Clothing Center. Betsy, who has been with Interfaith Works for over 20 years, brings a wealth of social service outreach experience to IW.
Director of Finance
Timothy Larkin, CPA, directs and manages Interfaith Works’ accounting and financial operations. Tim has worked in accounting for 35 years and in many different industries.
Director of Homeless Services
Christine Hong joined Interfaith Works in 2005 as a residential coordinator at the IW Women’s Center, and since then has taken on progressively expanding roles and responsibilities in the realm of providing services to men and women experiencing homelessness. Christine currently serves as Director of Homeless Services programs. She graduated from the University of Maryland-College Park with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in Baltimore. Christine is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and is a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical in the state of Maryland.
Director of Vocational Services
Gerard Etienne first started at Interfaith Works as a volunteer for the Vocational Services Program (VSP) in 2013. He quickly developed a passion for working with VSP clients, helping them resume preparation, job searching, and interviewing skills. Gerard also served on IW’s Board of Directors for two years. Prior to being appointed Director of the VSP in January 2020, Gerard’s career spanned engineering and business consulting. He attended the University of Maryland at College Park where he earned an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA.
