After she and her mom, Sandra Rosario, volunteered at the Interfaith Works women’s shelter through Sandra’s employer, Forrester Construction, Nicole decided she wanted to do something to help residents at the shelter.
Nicole and her mom worked hard to get donations of handbags and lots of personal care items so that guests at Nicole’s birthday celebration could put the bags together as a party activity. While their goal was to put together 12 bags, the outpouring of donations was so great, the girls at the party were able to assemble 35 bags filled with goodies.
Helping the women at the shelter was very important to Nicole, says her mom. “My daughter has the biggest heart in the world,” and she was touched by the challenges faced by the residents. On behalf of our residents, thanks to all of you!
