Documentary Explores Challenges of Homelessness

Members of the Montgomery County Interagency Commission oHomeStretch eventn Homelessness invite you to learn more about this critical social and economic issue. On Wednesday, November 18, join us at the AFI Silver Theatre for a screening of “The Homestretch,” a sobering but inspirational look at the lives of three homeless teens in Chicago.  Meet director Anne de Mare as she introduces the film.  Learn from those who understand how it feels to experience homelessness. Help bring our community together to raise awareness of this issue as you hear from individuals who are working to end homelessness in Montgomery County. Cost is $20.

All proceeds will benefit non-profit organizations who are members of the commission: Bethesda Cares, Interfaith Works, and Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless.

Parking/transportation information:

There are five  local parking garages are within walking distance. We recommend using Wayne Ave garage. Garages are free after 7:00 p.m. Anyone parking after 7:00 p.m. and exiting after 9:00 p.m. can park free of charge.
