Students from all grade levels at Maryvale Elementary School in Rockville recently collected warm clothing to donate to Interfaith Works Clothing Center, also in Rockville.

The drive, which ran from Dec. 1 to Dec. 11, collected gently used coats, hats, scarves and gloves. The donations filled four large boxes, said Juliet Edwards, the Student Government Association sponsor, in an email.

The group sponsored the drive in conjunction with Two Men and a Truck moving company. The movers helped load the boxes and deliver them to the nonprofit’s clothing center on Thursday.

The student group “looks forward to participating in other events that benefit the community this year,” Edwards wrote. “We will do another event with Two Men and a Truck called Movers for Moms as well this May.”

Movers for Mom collects donations for women and family shelters.
