Responsibilities include maintaining databases relating to the work of the Faith Community Advisory Council, maintaining external and internal calendars relating to the work of the Faith Community Advisory Council, and handling basic bookkeeping. Men’s Shelter Case Aide – Carroll House men’s transitional shelter in Silver Spring serves young men ages 18-24. The Case Aide is responsible for establishing and facilitating a trusting relationship with the residents to expedite use of services along a continuum of care. In-Reach Case Manager – Interfaith Works Empowerment Center (IWEC), located at Progress Place in downtown Silver Spring, is a fast-paced day and seasonal overflow shelter program for adults experiencing homelessness. The program serves as an entry point and provides basic needs and case management services. In the winter months, the IWEC operates an Overflow Shelter Program (November – March). In-Reach Case Manager will engage clients in the building to encourage further participation, meet with clients to conduct prescreens and needs assessments, and determine eligibility and connect clients to appropriate services and housing. Case Manager, Interfaith Homes – Interfaith Homes provides permanent supportive housing to 31 formerly homeless individuals in subsidized scattered sites apartments using the Housing First model. The program is designed lower barriers to housing so that highly vulnerable and chronically homeless individuals can gain permanent housing which is integrated with supportive services that help individuals maintain the housing.   The Case Manager is responsible for a caseload of 20 residents with whom the case manager must meet at least twice a month. Nurse Case Manager – Interfaith Works’ permanent supportive housing program is seeking a nurse case manager. The nurse case manager leads the coordination of somatic care for vulnerable, formerly homeless individuals. This position is part of a multi-disciplinary team comprised of a Program Director, Case Manager, Case Aide and Administrative Coordinator. Residential Coordinators – Interfaith Works’ Homeless Services seeks Residential Coordinators (RCs) for essential staffing of its shelters for both men and women throughout Montgomery County. It is the responsibility of each RC to insure the safety, well-being, and dignity of all occupants while on duty. RCs are hired as hourly employees who are assigned to a shift-based schedule. RCs staff the facility 24-hours a day, including awake overnight shifts. RC’s may work part-time to full-time hours based on individual availability and facility needs. Read the full job description.
